Kiska grew up loving classical music. In High School her mother remarked, “You are the only person I know of, who blares Beethoven on their car stereo, so I have no doubt as to when you come home.” She began violin lessons at the age of six. Growing up, she participated in summer music camps such as Interlochen and toured Europe several times with groups such as the Rocky Mountain String Camerata and the BYU Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. Kiska loves to perform. In 2005 she received an undergraduate degree in Violin Performance from Brigham Young University. Kiska’s love of teaching blossomed with more experience in community music teaching, and in 2006 she was accepted as a Master of Music student at the Eastman School of Music.

During her five years in Rochester Kiska taught privately in her home and at the Kanack School of Music in Brighton, New York. She developed her artistry at Eastman through studying with renowned pedagogues Lynn Blakeslee and Zvi Zeitlin. She also attended summer camps such as The Berkshires Summer Music camp directed by Misha Quint. Kiska completed her Master of Music degree at the Eastman School of Music in May 2010, where she graduated with honors as well as with a Certificate in College and Community teaching. Kiska has maintained her private studio throughout her time in Rochester, Omaha, Philadelphia, and now in Utah. While living in Omaha, Kiska played with the Omaha symphony and Rangbrook Ensemble. She has played numerous pop concerts with artists such as Il Divo, Rod Stewart, and Mannheim Steamroller. Kiska’s favorite pastimes are spending time with her family, hiking in the Rocky Mountains or Southwestern red rock, running, yoga, and a raw food diet.
