Allison Barlow enjoys a career in Human Resources which allows her the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life.  She began her HR career with O.C. Tanner, working her way to become the Director of Individual and Organizational Development. She helped open the U of U South Jordan Health Care Center as the Director of Exceptional Patient Care. Working for the LDS Church, she helped launch domestically and internationally an executive leadership bench strength/succession planning initiative that focused on experience based learning. Most recently, she worked as the Vice President of Human Resources for the Ken Garff Automotive Group building the culture around the statement “We Treat People Right”.  She currently is building her own business as an HR consultant with an emphasis on corporate culture, talent management, coaching, and effective communication.

Allison has a B.A. in history from the University of Utah, still hoping one day to teach history to teenagers. As a continuous learner and reader, she participates in many retreats and seminars that stimulate her knowledge of human development, human behavior, mindfulness, and spirituality.  She has volunteered and worked with many local women’s groups and teenage groups.  She served on the LDS General Relief Society Board and enjoyed the amazing women with which she worked. She loves the opportunity to travel, is an outdoor enthusiast, likes to play with photography, ground in meditation, is a political activist primarily for women’s issues, and most importantly enjoys spending time with her family, particularly her adorable nieces and nephews.
