Sean Crotty is a project specialist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
His career with the CDC began in Cambodia in 2013 where he connected with the organization
during his service as a Peace Corps Volunteer and Volunteer Leader for the Community
Health Extension program. In his role with the CDC, Sean has worked in collaboration
with the Australian Red Cross Blood Services and the Cambodian National Blood Transfusion
Center to build capacity among staff, enforce clinical guidelines, and enhance donor
Sean has a strong sense of community outreach and service. In that spirit, he founded
the STOP Aids Foundation of the Midwest. He has also spent time working with the
YMCA at Camp Kern in Ohio.
Sean has a background in small business development, fundraising, community outreach,
and non-profit management. He is passionate about capacity building and sustainable
outcomes. He believes community building is a reciprocal relationship that he loves
to be a part of.
